brother of A. Jones and C. Jones, brover-in-law to H. Boulton. A lawyer at Brockville and represented Grenville in the House of Assembly, 1816-1828 and Leeds, 1836-1837. He was a commissioner overseeing the construction of the St. Lawrence Canal, Judge of the District Court in three districts, Judge of the Court of Queen's Bench from 1837, Executive Councillor.
